Guest lectures: how we choose them

Alongside the course we invite astrologers from Portugal and abroad to give workshops and lectures. The choice is made on one principle: a specific competence, on a subject we cannot teach as well ourselves.

What we look for

• A defined subject. A visitor who has worked one technique thoroughly — a class of chart, a particular author, a problem in the sources — is worth far more to students than a general survey.
• A practice behind it. Someone who uses the technique in consultation, not only in writing about it.
• Willingness to be questioned. Sessions here run with interruption. A visitor who wants to deliver a lecture uninterrupted is not a good fit, and we say so beforehand.

Format

Usually a weekend seminar or a one-day workshop, occasionally a single evening lecture. All are open to people who are not enrolled on the course, and all are announced under events.

Proposing one
