Activities

The Academy's work falls into four strands. They are not separate departments — each one exists because the others need it.

Teaching

A three-year course in traditional practice, with seminars and workshops on single subjects alongside it. What we teach is set out on the teaching page; the events themselves are listed under events.

Consultation

Natal, horary and electional work. The consulting practice is what keeps the teaching honest: a technique that does not survive a client's question does not survive into the syllabus. See consultations.

Research

Long-running projects, each on a question that only data can settle: rectification by the animodar, which house division practitioners actually use, and which set of term tables. They are described under research, and they depend on contributions.

Publication

Reference tables and articles, free to download, in the documents index; and the Tradition, a journal of predictive western astrology with its own editorial line and its own contributors.

Outside Portugal

Lectures and seminars are given abroad as well as in Portugal, and the journal and the documents are in English for that reason. If you would like to arrange something in your own city or for your own group, write through the contact page.
